Using Google Calendars on the WikiFrom Great Lakes WikiGoogle Calendars are a great way to share calendars with others. They provide an easy way to ensure that all items on your calendar are availabe to all interested parties. Using Google calendars in the Great Lakes Wiki is also very easy. To do so, you must complete 3 steps. [edit] Create a Google account and calendar with the events you wish to includeFirst go to http://www.google.com/calendar/ . If you are not signed into Google, you must either do so or create an account. Follow the on-screen instructions to do so. Once you have signed in and reached your calendar, click and drag on the calendar to add new events. Fill in appropriate information. [edit] Ensure that this calendar is publicly visibleOn the left side of the calendar page, click on "Manage calendars". Then edit the sharing preferences. Check the box that reads "Make this calendar public" and then press save. [edit] Embed the calendarOnce back at the Wiki, go to the page you wish to include the calendar in. Click on the edit link near the top of the page. The code to embed the calendar is very simple. Using whatever gmail address the calendar is assosiated with, the code looks like this: <googlecalendar>greatlakeswiki@gmail.com</googlecalendar> The end result looks something like this:
