Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council is comprised of 11 staff members with a base of 2,000 plus members. Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council is the voice for Northern Michigan's waters. The mission of the Watershed Council is to protect Northern Michigan’s lakes, streams, wetlands, through respected advocacy, innovative education, technically sound water quality monitoring, and thorough research. The Watershed Council offers technical services, consulting services, and opportunities to take action and volunteer. The organization focuses their efforts in Northern Michigan.
