Talk:Muskegon, Michigan

From Great Lakes Wiki

This article is copied over in its entirety from Wikipedia (Wikipedia:Muskegon, Michigan)... It needs to be decided if a complete copy (including many redlinks, missing templates, stylistic conventions, etc.) is a good approach or if, rather, something more like what I did on Thornapple River is better.. I'll bring this to the Community Portal discussion page as well, which probably is the best place to discuss the general case of what to do... ++Lar: t/c 10:12, 28 Feb 2007 (EST)

I don't think we want a wholesale copy of a Wikipedia entry, not least because we're not trying to be Wikipedia and it doesn't make sense to replicate their effort. Plus it feels greasy to simply copy their content. --Cliff 11:26, 10 Mar 2007 (EST)
I agree, Cliff.... In that case I think I'll trim it back significantly (and leave the original poster another note), leaving a summary and just a pointer to WP as I did on Thornapple River, instead of the entire content, and add a section for people to add more original content... ++Lar: t/c 21:02, 10 Mar 2007 (EST)
