Talk:Lake HuronFrom Great Lakes WikiThis is looking good, though I'd like to see more internal links, and feel free to link things that don't exist yet. That will hopefully encourage someone to take it on... Cliff Can we start with a pretty picture rather than an unattractive graphic? Kick off with your most interesting material and put facts and figures deeper inside. Where did you get them? Let's include some sourcing. (Don't ditch the graphic, put it deeper, perhaps next to the list of facts) Very cool old map. Can you provide some information about it? When was it drawn. What is a “Sanson” map? Can you get some separation between lakes levels and areas of concern. They run together. Water levels - GREAT idea for an entry. Can you include the date relevant? If I read this next year, will the NOAA still be saying they are down this much? Live-fire training exercises – is this the appropriate place for this or does it deserve an entry of its own? Should a basinwide contriver appear in an entry for a single lake? Shipwrecks are a nice touch. Can we link those somewhere? (Maybe not. Maybe we're the ones that have to create that. Some nice pictures deeper down. Would like to see a killer one that invites me into the page. External links are excellent. How about indicating what kind of information you can get fronm the national buoy center? Otherwise, I’m not going. Sounds boring. Be transparent as possible with your links. Some good ideas here. Let's keep tuning it up. Dave |
