In general, I think just an external link isn't very helpful. What do *we* know about this organization, their mission etc? - Cliff (08:25, 22 March 2007 )
- I agree. I went to one such new page (Great Lakes Commission) of the many just created, and selected some useful stuff to bring over from wp as a start, but I know nothing of the org itself so am not the person to enhance that article. (I'm mostly just a mechanic here more than anything else so I leave that to others) If articles like this end up as just external links, this site is just a link farm. It can be much much more. Why is this organization important to the Great lakes? what impact has it had? who can get involved? stuff like that seems more useful. Maybe general policy would be helpful... Perhaps discussion on the Community portal would be helpful. I started a thread at Great_Lakes_Wiki_:Community_Portal#Links_vs._content ... maybe take more discussion there. ++Lar: t/c 11:53, 22 March 2007 (EDT)
