In creating the music page, it became evident that trying to represent a regional culture on a site such as this can be a difficult task.

This website is dedicated to the Great Lakes, and the music page should reflect that, which means this page should not be completely about the music scenes in Detroit, Chicago, or the like, but instead focus on artists and songs that show an influence coming from the Great Lakes, if not in the subject matter of the lyrics, then in the tonality, rhythm, and timbre of the sound. It was Shakespeare who crowned music as "food for the soul", so let this be a place where your body can rest while your soul gorges itself on what the Great Lakes has to offer for music.
