Literature of Lake Nipigon

In 1929 R. Douglas published a work by Edward Umfreville called Nipigon to Winnepeg; a canoe voyage through Western Ontario by Edward Umfreville in 1784, with extracts fomr the writings of other earlier travelers through the region. This work is a 63 page tribute to the exploration and hardships of the land.

Greg Breining explored the area and published Wild Shore: Exploring Lake Superior by Kayak in 2000 with the University of Minnesota Press. The 263 page travel journal includes maps and photographs of the journey.
