The Kinnickinnic River is one of the many rivers in the Great Lakes Region that are part of an intense river restoration project. It is located in south Milwaukee County and covers a 32 mile drainage area that is home to more than 200,000 people.

It suffers from the same issues caused by urban living--point and non-point source pollution.
