Blue Eco Legal CouncilFrom Great Lakes WikiThe Blue Eco Legal Council was born from a need for a Great Lakes specific organization with litigation resources to enforce the existing laws and to watchdog over the regulatory community. Two issues we are currently litigating, or are considering litigating, are the cleanup at Fort Sheridan on Lake Michigan and the Coast Guard's live fire training exercises on all the Great Lakes. Related to the Coast Guard training is the FBI's Firearms Training Range which uses 2,975 acres of Lake Michigan as a range impact area for lead bullet disposal.
