Bittersweet nightshade or "deadly nightshade" is an attractive plant grows with purple flowers and red berries. All parts of this plant are poisonous, but despite the nickname, it is not usually fatal. It can however poison someone if eaten in large quantities so if you see your kids or pets trying to munch on this plant, it would be best to quickly stop them.
