There are currently thirty-eight Bison ranches in Michigan, organized by the Michigan Bison Association. And there are 1500 members of the Bison Association.

The hulking American Buffalo is unique to this particular hemisphere. The graceful, but clumsy looking creature spends much of its time grazing. During the white-man's expansion West, the Bison became endangered of extinction by mass slaughters.
